In an exclusive interview, Astrid Way openly explains for the first time how the song “I Will Forget You” was born out of an emotional breakdown, sat in her drawer for five years, and forced her to relive the painful memories of an abusive relationship in her youth. “I wanted to jump out the window,” the singer admits, recalling the recording of the track.
The filming of the music video was no less dramatic: blood before the start, real snakes in the frame, mystical coincidences with the props, and a long search for the hero – between Hades and a gentleman. “My hands were shaking when I wrote to him,” the artist says of the choice of the actor to portray the abuser.
