Ukrainian singer Astrid Way has presented a dramatic video for the song “I Will Forget You” – a sensual R&B track about liberation from toxic relationships, which became a manifesto of female power.
The song “I Will Forget You” was born back in 2019 in a state of emotional breakdown, lay “on the table” for five years and forced her to relive the painful experience of an abusive first love. “I wanted to go out the window,” the singer admits, recalling the period of recording the track. Due to the complexity and pain of the topic, the song received its final sound only in 2024.
For about four years I periodically returned to it. Until Ivan Chernyshov created an arrangement. It turned out to be R&B — I was shocked. I had never listened to R&B. I didn’t even know how to sing it, what to do with it, how to feel in this genre,” says the star.
The clip “I Will Forget You” was shot from August to October 2025. The filming of the clip turned out to be no less dramatic: blood before the start, real snakes in the frame, mystical coincidences with props and a long search for the hero – “between Hades and a gentleman.” “My hands were shaking when I wrote to him,” says the artist about the casting of the actor who embodied the image of the abuser.

The visual concept of the video incorporates a system of archetypes: from the image of a “convenient” housewife to the demonic Lilith and Medusa Gorgon as symbols of a woman who has survived violence and regains her strength. The finale of the clip is an act of symbolic liberation: the heroine removes the amulet of dependence and chooses freedom.
"This clip is about the archetypes that live in every woman. About the path from convenience to strength, about the freedom of a woman. It is very important to me to show women that no matter what your relationship is, no matter how strong the love is, it is important to regain your freedom and not lose yourself," the singer notes.

The director of the clip “I Will Forget You” was Astrid Way, the sound and video operator was Ivan Chernyshov, and the producer was Serhiy Donhauser. The main male role was played by theater and film actor Kyrylo Maikut (teacher of the Karpenko-Kary KNUTKiT, artist of the Young Theater), who embodied the archetype of a charismatic manipulator-abuser.
